GSSNet / Sage install Statewide CAP EAS origination and distribution system in Alabama

Did you know that....

* The new CAP EAS standard requires a secondary monitoring source with national CAP (IPAWS) capabilities. Internet capabilities or satellite delivery is required to receive this information.

* Global Security Systems, LLC ("GSS"), the operators of ALERT FM, can help your state or locale meet this new secondary monitoring source requirement.

* GSS has teamed with Sage Alerting to provide an affordable end-end CAP-EAS solution.

So don't be left behind and get tagged with a FCC fine, let GSS and Sage help you get CAP compliant by the September 30, 2011 deadline.

The GSSNet satellite delivery system and Sage Digital ENDEC are in a bundled design to place CAP and EAS alerts on the air for TV, Radio, and Cable users. In the satellite broadcast service, the system receives EAS alerts via external monitor receivers using the one-way satellite broadcast alerts from GSSNet. It also polls for CAP alerts from a variety of types of CAP servers, such as DM OPEN (now IPAWS OPEN), MyStateUSA, and Black Coral. It can receive pushed CAP alerts using an HTTPS Post interface.

The GSSNet bundle is also in use in Federal, Country and State origination environments, where EAS messages are originated at the start of the EAS relay chains. The Sage ENDEC is supported by nearly every 3rd party provider of EAS peripheral equipment, loggers, remote controls, automation systems, video character generators, RDS systems, and Ibiquity's HD Radio text standard (Active Radio).
